I am Valerie Cummings, the Founder and Owner of Cummings Floralscaping Foundation, Inc. I began this journey in 1996 when my high school students and I brainstormed ideas for a business that could provide summer job opportunities. After participating in various schoolyard beautification projects, we established Cummings Floralscaping.

We proudly identify as a family-owned and operated business. I hire my high school chemistry and biology students and teach them essential gardening skills. Many of these students come from low-income households, and their employment plays a vital role in supporting their families. I often serve as their first employer and aim to train them to start their own businesses.

Additionally, Cummings Floralscaping Foundation, Inc. offers our student employees valuable landscaping experience, credits toward high school graduation, and opportunities for financial literacy.
